City Council Greenlights Nearly 300 New Homes in Burlington

The Burlington City Council has unanimously approved the Schaefer Farms project, a nearly 200-acre development on the city’s south side. The project, which will add nearly 300 new homes and condominiums, is expected to significantly enhance the city’s housing stock and increase the tax base by at least $130 million. Construction is slated to begin within the next 12 months, with the first residential units expected to be under construction by the end of 2025. This development aims to provide a wide array of high-quality housing options and is anticipated to attract 700-800 new residents to Burlington.
