New Large-Scale Affordable Housing to Rise in Milwaukee’s Harbor District

A monumental affordable housing development is underway in Milwaukee’s Harbor District. The $180.6 million project, Filer & Stowell Lofts, planned by Bear Development LLC, aims to construct 576 apartments within six buildings over a span of two years. The development is set to start construction in September 2023 and aims to provide housing for individuals earning between 40% and 80% of the local median income.
