Green Light for Bear Development’s Cream City Yards: Milwaukee’s Housing Future

The $197 million housing project in Milwaukee, formerly dubbed as Filer & Stowell, has received its first city financing approval. As one of Milwaukee’s largest affordable housing projects, the Cream City Yards project will bring 576 apartments spread across eight five-story buildings at a site formerly occupied by machinery manufacturer Filer & Stowell Co. The development aims to cater to seniors and families with affordable housing units.
