This stadium is a key part of the $220 million Iron District development, which also includes a hotel and apartments. The first phase involves building 99 affordable units at Michigan Street Commons. Despite initial hopes for a 2025 opening, Bear’s CEO, S.R. Mills, indicated a more realistic target is the 2026 season, considering current progress and construction timelines.
