Downtown Milwaukee Mixed-Use Redevelopment Targets Office and Residential Space
A redevelopment project is underway at the former Johnson Controls campus in downtown Milwaukee, now rebranded as The Patent Block. The site will see nearly 250,000 square feet transformed into high-quality office spaces with Class A amenities, including fitness areas, coworking spaces, and an outdoor courtyard. In addition to the office component, plans are in place to convert portions of the property along East Clybourn Street into residential apartments, with the project benefiting from historic tax credits to support the housing development. This revitalization effort aims to attract modern tenants while honoring the building’s historical significance.
