Historic Danville Redevelopment Nears Finish
Renovations are nearing completion at The Verander (formerly New Holland Apartments), a National Register-listed property at 324 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. The historic, income-restricted community has been upgraded with exterior stabilization, new kitchens and baths, and added amenities including a community room, co-working space, fitness room, and a refreshed courtyard; the building now offers 44 apartments. The property was acquired through investor partners by New Holland Redevelopment LLC of Kenosha, WI/Bear Development, with Bedrock Property Management handling operations. The rebrand—using the Dutch word for “change”—nods to the building’s heritage while signaling its next chapter.
